STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION OF SUPERCHARGING AND INTERCOOLING OF THE AIR ON THE PERFORMANCE OF DIESEL ENGINE YАMZ-238 WHEN TRANSLATING IT TO WORK ON A MIXTURE OF DIESEL AND BIODIESEL

The article suggests the use of turbocharging and intercooling of the air in a diesel engine when translating it to work on a mixture of diesel and biodiesel to improve feasibility and environmental performance of diesel.
The object of research is the engine YMZ-238.
The purpose is to determine the effect of turbocharging and intercooling of the air on the performance of a diesel engine when translating it to work on a mixture of diesel and biodiesel.
When transferring diesel to work on a mixture of diesel and biodizelino fuel there is deterioration of technical and economic indicators due to the physico-chemical properties of the fuel. The solution of the problem via the increase of the technical and economic indicators is the use of a supercharger (compressor). Air supplied to the engine is compressed before it enters the combustion chamber. That is, the compressor ensures that the correct amount of air is sufficient for complete combustion of large quantities of biodiesel. To eliminate heat of the air that passes through the compressor, intermediate cooling of the air is established, which reduces the temperature and increases its density, allowing to burn more fuel in the cylinder of a diesel engine.
A study was conducted with the help of Diesel-RK software, which showed a significant difference between the use of turbocharging and intercooling of the air and without inflatable diesel engine when operating on a mixture of diesel and biodiesel, while maintaining the reliability of a diesel engine.
