The influence of the mine trawl’s modernized movable operating element parameters on its operating performance

Abstract

The technique of investigation of the influence of the main parameters of the modernized movable operating element of the mine trawl on its operating performance has been developed. It is based on: a design model adequate to movable operating element of the trawl; physically substantiated assumptions regarding the effect of the explosion shock wave on the neutralizing operating disk of the trawl and effect of the ground on the support disk; mathematical model of the movable operating element’s dynamics. Taken together, these allow to obtain analytical dependencies that determine the basic parameters of the movement of the working U-shaped rocker along with the support and operating discs (neutralizing operating body of the mine trawl), depending on external and internal factors. It is shown that the angular velocity caused by the impact of the shock wave on the operating disk (initial angular velocity of the rocker arm) depends not only on the mass of the charge and the depth of the mine’s occurrence, but also largely on the configuration, size of the disks and the rocker arm. As for the basic operating performances, they are largely determined by the maximum angle of rotation of the U-shaped rocker arm - . An algebraic dependence is obtained for its determination. By numerical simulation and analysis of the results obtained at different values of the mass of the mine charge, the depth of its occurrence, the geometric parameters of the rocker arm with disks it is found that the proposed model of the movable operating element of the mine trawl is more viable: for soils with a higher value of the elasticity modulus; operating discs of smaller diameter and smaller thickness; smaller angles between the legs of the U-shaped rocker arm and their smaller geometric parameters. The obtained theoretical results could serve as a basis for wide-ranging design and engineering works on modernization of movable operating elements of mine trawls in order to improve their performance characteristics.
