Abstract

to work reliably under conditions of friction and wear while simultaneously working media. We have chosen one of the most widely used methods of surface engineering - surfacing with doping pastes to increase the durability of the surface layers.
Substantially increases the strength, hardness and wear resistance of the surface layer of addition as a doping element of vanadium (V), due to the formation of carbides in the process of surfacing.
The purpose of the work is to study the nature of structural formation in the surface layers of structural steels during surfacing with doping paste, identification of their phase composition and properties.
An analysis of the microstructure of the deposited layer showed that the microstructure of the welded surface with vanadium-based coating is finely dispersed in comparison with the microstructure of the fusion bonded without coating. The increased hardness at a depth of 1.5 mm is explained by the appearance in the structure of vanadium carbides uniformly located in the matrix (perlite). This type of microstructure corresponds to the Charpy-Bochvar principle. In addition, one of the goals facing doping is the stabilization of cementite in the area of friction and wear.
According to the results of the performed studies it can be concluded that there is an increase in the wear resistance of the surface of products under friction conditions.
