Abstract

The problems of realization of traffic accidents examinations are analysed, namely visibility distance determination of road object in the conditions of inaccuracy and inexactnesses of input data. Basic principles of construction are considered and the developed complex program is offered for improvement of the traffic accidents expertise which happened at nighttime.

The purpose of the study is in improving the conduct of examinations of technical expertise of traffic accidents, improving their accuracy by automating determining  the range of visibility of road objects at nighttime. This should develop a comprehensive automated program to determine the range of visibility of objects on the road in the investigation of the mechanism of accidents during this period.

In this paper, we developed and customized expert program to determine the range of visibility of road objects in conditions of uncertainty and uncertainty of input data. The program allows to determine the numerical values of the range of visibility of road facility under specific conditions, road conditions without traffic experiment at the accident scene. Application of the developed expert program also will help to improve the quality of examinations of traffic accident that happens during the nighttime, by increasing the objectivity of decision-making expert, significantly reducing material and human costs of the examination, namely road experiment on the site of an accident or similar conditions.
